Galaxy

As technology advances so the images of galaxies are evermore captivating. In this glass I have captured the radiance of varying elements within a pinwheel galaxy. Spirals of copper bearing blue, cadmium bearing pink and gold bearing purple glass contrast against the deep black darkness of space.
38cm in diameter and 5cm deep this sculpture can be wall mounted or table displayed.
Light transmitted through the colours of this piece reveals the most beautiful reflections a contrast to the opaque blackness of the space in which it spirals.
